Testing Criteria

The UKGTN developed Testing Criteria in 2005 as part of the genetic test evaluation process through Gene Dossiers (2005 UKGTN Steering Group paper).  Testing criteria provide a referral guideline for genetic diagnosis by indicating clinical features of the genetic condition and the types of referrers expected to order the test. This helps to ensure that a genetic test is being used appropriately and for the  target population which will derive most benefit. A list of all UKGTN Testing Criteria is available here.
